You see what is in sight
You touch what can be felt
You hear the words that are spoken
You live how you've been taught
But tonight I cry because I can see the light
I make myself bare because I can feel what is there
I shout out a praise because I can hear the grace
I live for more because I have been shown love
You fight your wars
You battle for more
You scratch at the sore

Now that I'm done with this game
Another is about to begin
It's too bad they're all the same
'Cause I know I'll never win
I'm tired of holding these dice
And hoping to win by chance
It's time to take control of this life
And end this unending sword dance
No one wants to finish this life
Saying they're broken and full of strife
So don't tell me that I'm all alone
In this world full of the unknown
No longer will I be waiting around
Or let the other players take whats mine
Ha I never thought that it would be found
This realization that you are on my time
You found your chest of treasure
You found your key to pleasure
Now its lost to your leisure
And mine to keep without measure
For those who hear my words
You need to let go of your pride
And out of the shadow where you hide
End this game you forgot you were playing
There's no more time for more delaying
I can't tell you how this will end
'Cause the dice no longer make up rules
But you're out of the same old trend
And better than those other fools

Crawling through the deep shadows
Stumbling into the black holes
Lost in the maze of endless valleys
Drowning in sinking ship's galleys
The flicker of a gift condemned
Is the chance for a heart to mend
Pushing through struggle and pain
Not knowing the flame to gain
One last breath before the water rise
No one there to hear my cries
Or see through a hundred lies
That you hide behind that disguise

She lies awake all night
Staring at the stars
Through her tear flooded eyes
Wishing for a rainy night.
They've had this fight before,
But never answer why
They force it so much
And never say good-bye.
Bloody memories flood the good,
Broken hearts kill the love,
Empty souls eat the truth,
And lost minds wander the dark.
He cries hard all day
Not knowing how to stop
His mind flooded with thoughts
Of moving far away.
They've yelled about this before,
But never solve anything,
So someday in pain
They'll realize they've got nothing.

You become them when you are blazed

It makes an easy solution
To fill that hole you feel grow
Wake again to find it empty
A new day to score a new hit
Makes you feel real just for a bit
More and more drugs, sex and drinking
It won't stop, except for your thinking
